Former gun racing photographer Steve Hart has been turning out video interviews with racing personalities for around eight years now. The edition we’re posting this week is perhaps one of the best yet. Steve’s guest is English born Lizzie Jelfs who’s been a horse devotee from a very early age. She came to Australia as an 18 year old and was fortunate to land a job almost immediately with the legendary Lindsay Park operation in South Australia. Lizzie quickly became a valued trackwork rider and developed her equine skills to the extent that she was later designated key positions in the Melbourne and Sydney arms of the organisation.

Her media career began with racing.com, before transitioning to a lengthy stint with Sky Racing. She later made the move to her current role with the Seven Network.  Lizzie’s intelligent pre-race appraisal of runners, and an engaging on camera style has endeared her to punters and horse lovers alike. The charming mother of two looks back on her life with horses.
